(L to R) Simone Hennessy, Vicky Fortune

The recent TIAG trip to France at the start of May was attended by Tax Partner Simone Hennessy and Audit Manager Vicky Fortune.  TIAG is a worldwide alliance of independent accounting firms and allows us to interact through the network and use each other’s expertise in the individual countries to assist in bringing maximum benefit to our clients.

The conference, which was held in Paris, was a great success with record attendance from The TAG Alliances members. TAG Alliances is comprised of the following professional alliances; TAGLaw, TIAG and its most recent addition, TAG-SP. Comprised of independent accounting and law firms, the alliances provide members and their clients with access to thousands of highly qualified professionals around the world.

The conference featured a wide variety of sessions and covered many interesting topics including:

  • Riding the waves of culture in a global marketplace
  • Brexit, a Trump presidency and the impact on international trade and globalisation
  • Audit & assurance – life on the other side
  • The magical power of attentional networking

This year was particularly special as long standing members were rewarded for their contribution to the network including HSOC as one of the founding members of TIAG back in 2003.

The week was not all work as delegates got to explore the “City of Lights”, a trip to the decadent Palace and beautiful Gardens at Versailles and an evening cruise along the Seine.

The conference was very successful and HSOC look forward to attending again in the near future.
